Cary couple sells everything for a new life
According to a recent Yahoo finance report, “van life,” also known as van dwelling, is booming.
It’s the unconventional lifestyle of living in a van, car, or other vehicle.
The report said from 2020 to 2022, the number of people living a van life increased from nearly 2,000,000 to 3,000,000.
That’s a 50% jump.
A Cary couple said they sold everything they own to pursue that lifestyle.
Brenna and Jason Dragos are hoping to show how liberating it can be. The couple said they’ve sold almost everything they own, from toilet paper to farm animals.
“We sold our donkey, five goats, 10 chickens, 25 ducks,” Jason Dragos said.
The Dragoses said they are preparing to take a two-year trip from Alaska to Argentina. They hope to get on the road in a makeshift van, full of all the essentials, by early spring.
